IHE Radiology Planning and Technical Committees
The IHE Radiology Planning and Technical Committees address the implementation of standards-based interoperability solutions to improve information sharing, workflow and patient care in radiology.
Scope The are responsible for development and publication of:

- Planning Committee:

- Developing and reviewing Integration Profile proposals
- Determining scope development priorities
- Communication and coordination of development activities with other IHE domains
- Technical Committee:

- Assessing the feasibility of scope development priorities
- Developing detailed documentation of approved Integration Profile proposals
- Developing and maintaining the IHE Technical Framework
The Radiology Technical Committee also includes subcommittees in Mammography and Nuclear Medicine. These subcommittees are responsible for developing integration profiles relevant to their radiologic specialties and for coordinating deployment activities for these profiles.
All IHE domain committees are international in scope.
Membership These committees are composed of representatives of relevant professional organizations in radiology and companies whose systems and software are used in radiology. Participation is open and voluntary, but participants are required take part regularly in committee meetings and teleconferences and perform committee assignments. Committee members serve as representatives of IHE member organizations. The terms of membership for IHE committees are outlined in the IHE Principles of Governance.
