The annual Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) educational workshop, Changing the Way Healthcare Connects, focused on IHE's role in improving healthcare interoperability and realizing the vision of a connected health system. More than 150 vendor representatives, public health experts, consultants and healthcare providers participated in sessions on leveraging the IHE initiative.

The educational workshop begins the cycle of activities leading to the North American Connectathon, to be held in Chicago, January 28 to February 1, 2008.  The online application process for participants in the 2008 Connectathon will open August 15, with applications due by September 15.
