Connectathon Manager Training Workshop
September 14-16, 2010
820 Jorie Boulevard
Oak Brook, Illinois, USA
Registration deadline: August 13, 2010
Information: training@ihe.net
A critical element of IHE’s work is the organization of health IT interoperability testing events called IHE Connectathons, which are held annually in various locations worldwide. An IHE Connectathon is an open and structured opportunity for testing the implementation of IHE integration and content profiles (see http://www.ihe.net/profiles/). Each event is overseen by a staff of qualified professional engineers.
The IHE International Testing and Tools Committee is pleased to announce a Connectathon Management Training Workshop. All interested parties are invited to take part in the workshop, which is intended for technical management leadership interested in leveraging the experience, tools and processes of IHE to achieve success in regional or project-focused interoperability testing. Expected attendees include:
- IHE regional deployment groups who want to organize an IHE Connectathon. Participation in a Connectathon Management Training Workshop and passing the concluding certification test is required for any IHE Regional Deployment Group planning to hold a “certified” IHE Connectathon.
- Organizations that have a health information exchange project (multi-national, national, regional, community eHealth projects) interested to organize a “Projectathon” (a testing event specific to their project). “Projectathons” ensure connectivity and interoperability between multi-vendor products without waiting to "go live".
- Vendor and provider organizations interested in conducting "internal" testing are also welcome.

The Workshop will be lead by IHE Europe and IHE North America Technical Project Managers, each with over a decade of experience with the IHE process and tool set.
