The annual IHE-North America Connectathon 2010 took place January 11-15 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The Connectathon is healthcare's only large-scale interoperability testing event. In all, over 100 organizations tested over 150 systems at this year's event.
The Connectathon featured a one-day conference on January 12, 2010. The conference provided an overview of IHE, advice on implementing interoperable systems and information on national and regional efforts to deploy electronic health records. Conference attendees include over 120 leaders of provider organizations, healthcare IT and equipment companies and organizations and government agencies involved in the deployment of electronic health record systems and health information exchanges.
