The annual IHE-North America Connectathon 2008 took place January 28 - February 1 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The Connectathon is healthcare's only large-scale interoperability testing event. In all 70 vendors tested 130 systems at this year's event.
The Connectathon featured a one-day conference on Tuesday, January 29. The conference provided an overview of IHE, advice on implementing interoperable systems and information on national and regional health information exchange projects in North America.
Conference invitees include over 130 leaders of provider organizations, healthcare IT and equipment companies and organizations and government agencies involved in the deployment of electronic health record systems and health information exchanges.
